LCIF invests into companies who will have an impact on carbon reduction, either through the products and services they will sell or through their own operations.
We provide guidance on how to identify where potential carbon savings can be maximised and through the assessment and due diligence process we work with companies to find the best way to measure and optimise this.
In 2016 LCIF commissioned external consultants, NAREC Distributed Energy to calculate and verify the carbon savings resulting from the LCIF portfolio companies. They found that actual carbon savings to October 2016 were over 250,000 tonnes CO2 and forecast that those same companies were on track to save over 10 million tonnes CO2 by the end of 2020.
We are looking forward to working with new companies through the next investment cycle to bring more new, innovative products to market with even greater carbon reduction impacts.
