Meet the Team

Based at The Enterprise Centre at the University of East Anglia, the Innovation Funding team are the first point of contact for companies and investors, managing and assisting companies through the application and due diligence process. They work closely with companies in the investment portfolio.

The Innovation Funding team works with the Investment Committee, a panel of UEA representatives, fund manager and independent experts, who set the investment strategy and authorise decisions to invest on a case by case basis

 

 

Saffron Myhill-Hunt

Innovation Funding Team Manager

Saffron is Innovation Funding Manager at Adapt Low Carbon Group, UEA and has worked on the Low Carbon Innovation Fund since 2012.  During this time she developed the LCIF Smaller Investments Scheme which has invested amounts of £25k - £75k in over 25 businesses since 2014 and has played a key role in over 90 investment rounds up to £1M.  Prior to joining UEA, Saffron has founded and is an experienced manager of SME businesses, particularly in the low carbon consultancy, manufacturing, installation and energy service sectors.

 

 

 

 

Sam Burton

Investment Analyst

Sam is an Investment Analyst at the Adapt Low Carbon Group, with a specialism in the creative industries. She is responsible for engaging with businesses and supporting the development of applications to the Fund from all sectors. Sam has experience of developing carbon reduction strategies and assessing and completing investments from a wide range of business sectors.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sarah Green

Administrator 

Sarah is responsible for supporting the Low Carbon Innovation Fund team and ensuring the smooth running of the application and investment process, governance meetings and events.  Sarah has a background in fundraising and project management across the education and conservation sectors.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Emma Muntingh

Administrator

Emma is responsible for the smooth running of all administrative aspects of the fund, from maintaining the database to monitoring portfolio companies.  Emma started her career in a similar role within Investment Banking.  Between 2003 and 2015 Emma lived abroad, predominantly in South East Asia, during which time she worked in a variety of roles.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jo Holland (currently on maternity leave)

 Administrator

Jo is the Innovation Funding administrator at the Adapt Low Carbon Group. She is responsible for the smooth running of investment process, from recording on the database to monitoring the progress of portfolio companies
