The Low Carbon Innovation Fund (LCIF) provides equity finance for small and medium sized enterprises (SME's) in the East of England that are contributing to the low carbon economy.
Cycle One of LCIF opened in 2010 as a £70m co-investment programme. Seeded by £20.5m of EU monies and matched with nearly £50m of private co-investment from UK and international investors, this fund is managed by energy and environment investment specialists Turquoise who are currently working on the exit phase, the proceeds of which will be fed into Cycle Two.
Cycle Two of LCIF is now open for investments between £25k and £75k (Smaller Investments Scheme) and we would like to hear from suitable companies from any sector who are seeking investment to grow and develop and which match LCIF’s criteria. In addition to funding, where appropriate we may also be able to work with companies to develop their plans, reduce their carbon footprint and maximise carbon savings through their technologies, products and services.
Applications can be made via the online form on the application page.
LCIF is operated by the Adapt Low Carbon Group at the University of East Anglia.
